I am trying to find an outdoor thermometer that records high/low temp that is NOT digital?

Years ago they used to make ones that were a big dial thermometer that had two little moveable metal strips anchored in the center. As the temperature hand moved up and down, it pushed the little metal arms ahead of it, thus automatically recording the high and low temperature, with no need for electricity, batteries, or solar power. Each day you reset the little arms by twirling the knob they were attached to, like setting the time on a clock. I have been looking for one for years now with no success.

How do I calibrate an Acu-Rite Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer and a Springfield Precise Temp Thermometer?

I have an incubator project, and I have two thermometers as a check between them. But they’re going like 4+ degrees off of one another!

They’re both digital and have no visible probes, so I don’t know how to calibrate them. Right now I dunked one in snow, and am waiting for it to reach 32 degrees. Is this right?

Thank you!
